SIGGS 3.0 tool officially launched – A practical tool for better Governance in sport

On 27 March, the EOC EU Office hosted the Final Conference and Official Launch of SIGGS 3.0, bringing together over 90 stakeholders from National Olympic Committees, sport federations, EU institutions, and academia.

The event marked the launch of the updated SIGGS self-evaluation tool, now available via our Toolbox for Good Governance. As a free and practical resource, SIGGS 3.0 supports sport organisations in assessing their governance structures, identifying areas for improvement, and guiding strategic planning.

Participants heard from Jan Lehmann, CEO of the EOC, who linked the tool to the EOC Strategic Agenda 2030, Giuseppe Deleonardis, IOC Deputy Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, who reinforced the role of governance in upholding Olympic values, and former SIGGS project manager Valentin Capelli reflecting on the evolution of the tool. The conference also featured testimonials from both new and long-standing users, highlighting the tool’s relevance and impact in real-world governance contexts.

We thank all speakers and participants for their engagement, and invite organisations to explore SIGGS 3.0 via our Toolbox for Good Governance.
