Provisional Agreements on Several EU Programmes

Created on Friday, 15 Jan 2021 14:01:29

As activities in the European Parliament kicked off again this week, the Committees met for the first time this year and took the opportunity to vote on several provisional agreements on new EU Programmes.

Most of these agreements had been reached as part of the trilogues with the Council just before Christmas and were now headed to the respective Committees for approval.

This week saw agreements passed on several programmes that are of relevance for the sport sector:

The provisional agreements are public now and unlikely to change anymore but they will still have to wait for final approval in the Plenary of the European Parliament and the Council.
While Parliament will meet next week, the agenda had already been set, meaning that the provisional agreements will most likely have to wait until the next Plenary session in the week of 8 February to be tabled.

The EOC EU Office is having a close look at the agreements and assessing their relevance for the sport sector. A detailed analysis for our partner organisations will follow in the near future. Furthermore, the EU Programmes will also be included in the new Funding Brochure that our Office will publish in the coming months.
