Malta hosts the EU Sport Forum 2017

On 8 and 9 March 2017, the European Commission, together with the Maltese Presidency of the Council of the EU, organised the annual EU Sport Forum in St Julian’s, Malta.

ITU and FEI reach Memoranda of Understanding with commercial event organisers

At the end of January 2017, both the International Triathlon Union (ITU) and the Fédération Equestre International (FEI) agreed on signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with commercial bodies active in their sport (Ironman and Global Champions League (GCL)), which allowed for extrajudicial arrangements.

Maltese Council Presidency reaches portability agreement with EP

On 7 February 2017, the Maltese Presidency reached a provisional agreement with European Parliament representatives to remove barriers to cross-border portability of online content services in the internal market.
