SECOND MEETING ON THE CONFERENCE ON THE FUTURE OF EUROPE #TheFutureIsYours

SECOND MEETING ON THE CONFERENCE ON THE FUTURE OF EUROPE #TheFutureIsYours

The Executive Board of the Conference on the Future of Europe (CoFoE) met for the second time on 7 April 2021 and progressed on the Conference preparations.

The multilingual digital platform: the conference's central hub

Firstly, the multilingual digital platform launching 19 April will provide citizens with information on the Conference's structure and work. Events labelled by the CoFoE will be gathered on an events map, offering EU citizens the possibility to participate in key events that are relevant to them. Event organisers will also be able to promote their initiatives at different levels (local, regional, national and European levels) by completing this map, as well as a catalogue of key events.

In addition to the above, as the Conference's central hub, the platform will gather all contributions shared during Conference Plenaries, European Citizen's Panels and during decentralised formal events.

Last but not least, it will allow citizens to express themselves but also react and comment on other citizen's ideas.

New official hashtag

#TheFutureIsYours has become the new official hashtag of the Conference, inviting EU citizens to contribute and define the EU’s future: “The future is in your hands”.

Next steps

Further discussions will take place in two weeks time. Rules of procedures, the Conference plenaries' composition, as well as prerequisites for the organisation of the Conference are on the agenda.

The EOC EU Office will follow the discussions and developments on the CoFoE, continuing to monitor the potential for sport organisations to get involved in the process.
