EUROPEAN YOUTH EVENT 2021

EUROPEAN YOUTH EVENT 2021

Kicking off with online activities from 4 October and leading to the main event on 8 and 9 October, the European Youth Event (EYE) 2021 brings together thousands of young people from all over the European Union and beyond.
Under the motto “The future is ours” the EYE2021 invites the youth to shape and share their ideas on the future of Europe in both online and in-person activities in Strasbourg. In doing so, it aims to promote equality, inclusiveness and sustainability with a strong commitment to accessibility for everyone.

The event offers the young participants panels, debates, workshops, stands and sports activities to engage with.

On 8 October, the Olympic Movement contributes with an event organised by the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF). The panel discussion aims to shed light on how the Olympic spirit stands for friendship, fair play, solidarity and mutual understanding beyond the games, promote sustainability and ensure health and well-being among European citizens.
The speakers, include MEPs Marc Tarabella and Tomasz Frankowski, representatives of the Paris 2024 and Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Games, Masomah Ali Zada, an Aghan cyclist member of the IOC refugee team in Tokyo and Renaud Clerc, a French Paralympic athlete. Together, they discuss these timely questions in light of the two upcoming Olympic Games in Europe, moderated by Eva Rebmann, Policy Officer at the EOC EU Office.

The EYE2021 represents the climax of the European Parliament’s youth consultation process for the Conference on the Future of Europe. Their ideas raised this week will be consolidated into a report and feed onto the political debate of the Conference.
