On 1 December 2014, Patrick Hickey, President of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) met Commissioner Tibor Navracsics in order to exchange views on the future European Sport Policy. The meeting took place in Milan on the occasion of the EU Sport Forum 2014.

On 1 December 2014, the European Olympic Committees, represented by President Patrick Hickey, signed a partnership agreement with the European Commission on the European Week of Sport (EWoS). The Commission was represented by the new European Commissioner for Sport, Mr. Tibor Navracsics.

As of 15 November 2014, there has been a change of staff at the EOC EU Office.

On 22 October 2014, the European Parliament gave its final consent to the new team of Commissioners, which will be led by Jean-Claude Juncker from Luxembourg. Their five-year term will start on 1 November.
