10th anniversary of EOC EU Office

10th anniversary of EOC EU Office

On Wednesday, 20 February 2019, the EOC EU Office celebrates its 10th anniversary. Director Folker Hellmund reflected on the anniversary by saying: "It is with great pleasure that we celebrate today the 10th anniversary of the EOC EU Office. What has started in 1993 as the Office of German Sport has become a truly European endeavour in 2009. Today the Office counts 27 partner organisations and engages staff from 5 European countries.I am proud to say that the EOC EU Office stands for an honest and competent work, a great variety of activities, and is held in great esteem for its expertise in Brussels and beyond. This is primarily thanks to the outstanding and highly motivated staff who, over thepast 10 years, have made of the Office a pillar of the EU sports policy scene. I would like to thank all of them warmly for their excellent job! I can promise that we will do our very best to keep up this level. We are looking forward to cooperating with you in the upcoming 10 years!"

The EOC EU Office has prepared a special anniversary publication showing the milestones of the last ten years, which you can find here.
